I just had a moment of "whoah women are awesome and beautiful unicorns because of someone else's Tumblr OK? And people say that scrolling around on Tumblr is unproductive... well I sort of half-pity, half-envy these people but I know they procrastinate too so that's alright.Strangely I think some of these have been taken from vintage porn movies so for the sake of not freaking everyone out I weeded through the more explicit images and instead replaced them with Gretchen Weir/ Mean Girls themed stuff. It was International Women's Day last Friday but I was quietly drowning in homework and therefore too busy to really put together something special. The bombardment of blonds on my dashboard made me really appreciate women of this persuasion, shrouded in mystique and blue eyeshadow.

That's not to say any other type of woman is anything less than amazing, I readily accept that there are many different types of women and avoid using the phrase "real women" one describing one, because that seems to be so counter productive. It just so happens  this one blog opened my eyes to how awesome it is to be woman but facts and stuff reveal the work of feminism is far from over. Particularly parliamentary seats held by women stresses the lack of equality for women in positions of power: the day old perceptions that "men are born leaders" but when a woman puts herself across as a strong character she's being a bitch or bossy. Which is ridiculous because believe me I have encountered plenty of bitchy men. Anyway rambling aside I pulled together some images which makes me proud to embrace gender but I would like to stress the fact women are complex,  multi-faceted beings and you can totally be both smart and pretty at the same time. While trying to smash out my degree of Science I like to focus on aesthetic guilty pleasures while buzzing out ideology.
